My name is M*, I live in Samos since 10 months already, and I still have not received an answer to my asylum demand. I come from Cameroon, where I lost everything I cherished: my family, my friends, my work. I went through Turkey where I was abused, raped, and tortured by the police. I lost a lot of friends very rapidly during the trip; friends who believed in finding refuge, hope, and security.
Unfortunately the life at the camp is really painful. We sleep outside the camp with animals; we are ill-fed, ill-clothed, and we cannot shower. It is very difficult, and during winter it is impossible. I truly lost all hope, and only God could save me with a miracle. We are too exposed to illnesses and infections in the camps.

Dear M,
I am sorry to hear about your situation. It is really awfull to read that there is so much pain in your live. What can a man or woman bear? Hopefully you will get answer soon for a possitive assylum! I pray for you and all the people in the camp!
I am supporting by giving money to de aid organisations in your camp, by sharing this website, articles on Facebook, I have an artproject for letting people be aware of the bad situation of refugees and I have regulary contact with them. Hopefully one day we can meet eachother!
Kind regards,
Ellen
