Ik ben een migrant uit Afghanistan en woon al één maand op het eiland Samos. Op Samos is er geen aandacht voor migranten. Geen goed eten en geen goed water. Er is geen hygiëne. De capaciteit van het kamp is 700 maar er wonen al 5000 immigranten in. De situatie is erg moeilijk. Veel kinderen zijn ziek. We kunnen erop wachten dat er hier een grote ramp gebeurt. Ik wil als migrant de landen met mensenrechten, verzoeken om iets te doen aan onze situatie.

I read your letter from Samos. Thank you for writing. I sincerely hope that your life has improved, since August.
But the disaster that you foresaw has indeed occured. The big fire we heard about has made many people homeless, if they had a home at all. Hopefully you were not among them?
I wish I could do something to help people get away from the island and to a better place, where it is safe. I am ashamed to say that our government doesn’t care about the human rights of refugees and their sick children in dangerous camps. But we have to keep hoping that change will come and that they will act more humane. All people have the right to be safe. I hope you will be safe soon. Please don’t give up.
