I am a 30 years old woman from Congo, I am living in Samos for six months already, but the structure is so deficient. We sleep in a very deficient structure. Even to see a doctor it is very difficult, you need to get to sleep outside.
I am … for the winter due to the fact that we are sleeping on a mat while it is very cold.
The camp is full of people. The map is not being open to people …
Even to be able to see the doctor at the hospital is an issue, specially when you are Black. Even when I had an appointment, the doctor refused to see me. I had to had a specific letter of vulnerability which was very difficult for me to obtain. I am desperate I don’t have such a letter even after the whole time I spent here. The doctor doesn’t want to see me because I have a sexual disease so he doesn’t want to provide me with any medicine. I am still suffering from illness. I was there, at the hospital, in the local 9, last June and up til now, he still doesn’t want me to visit.

Dear lady from Congo,
I am so sorry about what is happning to you. How can even doctors be so cruel and racist? This is not human how you are treated.
I hope you have received the right medicine by this time, and that you feel better. I hope European leaders will change their policy’s real soon. We try to convince them to treat refugees well and welcome them in our country’s. Know that there are people who care about you! I wish you a peaceful life in the near future, where you can heal and find rest. Try to hold on, this dark days will end.
Sending you love and courage,
Rita
