    Dear Madam,
I hope you can leave to Germany soon, where you can live safely, your children can study and your husband can work as a hairdresser. I wish you health and happiness and the strength to carry on. Try to keep the hope alive!!!

    Dear Madam,

I feel so sorry for the misery you are in on Lesbos. After all the atrocities you have lived through, you definitely deserve a safe, wealthy country to spend your live as long as you want. If only I could, I would visit you over there to give you both personal and material support. But the point is that I live about 3000 kilometres from you so that coming over is not manageable. Despite that, I hopefully encourage you a little by telling that I frequently donate money to organisations which support stranded refugees on Greek islands. Furthermore, I have written a couple of letters to European politicians in which I urged them to relocate refugees like you to safer places in Europe.
It is imaginable that it is hard for you to keep the faith for a better future. And I can’t deny that it takes far too long! But quite recently, I met a Syrian refugee who took her chance to get a green card from a miserable Greek island with which she succeeded in moving to Amsterdam. She had waited a couple of years in similar, miserable conditions like you are in. Hopefully, she is an example for you to regain hope in your seemingly hopeless situation.

Anyway, I am with you and you would be welcome to live in Holland, the country where I live!!
